In the movie and Broadway hit Grease, there was the bigger than life portrayal of John Travolta as Danny Zuko the Radical. Big hair, good looks and a great dancer. A radical in every sense of the word. Political, film, social and religious radicals have made history as icons we all remember. Where did it start?
In the 18th century, a man named Charles James Fox asked for a radical reform in the British Parliament. In so doing (and so on after) any sweeping change in direction was called "Radical". The American Revolutionists, the Religious Reformation of Martin Luther, Tienanmen Square in China, Facebook, Apple Computers, Nelson Mandela George Washington and ..... JESUS!
Radicals left their mark on history and their story has inspired millions to do the same. Some people talk about history, some people read about history but some people MAKE history! The earth is looking for the next wave of Jesus Freaks to rise and shine for their radical hope, faith and message about Jesus!
What Makes a Radical?
You're a radical when you do what others want to do but are afraid to attempt! Jesus was the greatest radical in all of history. He fought a religious and social battle that has circled the globe. Billions of people have followed Him. Why? Where others only ruled or navigated this sphere, Jesus is the ONLY religious leader who took His message of change from this realm to the realms of the spirit world. There, He conquered Satan, death and all other religions, philosophies and thoughts - not only in this world, but in the world to come! You want to talk about a radical? Jesus dominated both realms and then empowered His followers to do the SAME with the SAME power and authority. Oh friend, Jesus was the greatest Radical of all.
Now it is your turn! What will you do?
I dare you to take a stand, oppose the tide of indifference and passionately stand for Jesus! Anyone can talk about history, but it takes real leaders to make history. It is in our hands to do so! Let's enslave Satan, change the culture and believe that the season of the radical is not over! God is calling you and me to be the radicals in this season! Are you ready to make history? I dare you!

Sharpening your Weapon for War
As the new year has begun, we are now in the race to take off the pounds of the holidays, refocus on priorities and set new goals for accomplishment. It is amazing to me how so many people will expend so much energy on day to day development and spend little effort on spiritual development.
The bible says that we are to be in this world but not of this world. That my friend is where the war is waged. Dealing with distractions that pull our attention away from the real war of life. It happens in the spirit world and must be fought with spirit weapons.
Staying sharp is a priority. 1 Samuel 13:20-22 is a description of the very topic I discuss here. The Israelites were in captivity to the Philistines and had to get their plowing shears, tools and weapons sharpened in the house of the Philistines. This us what their enemy knew:
This is why, in my opinion, our culture is changing so radically in this generation . The church was a centerpiece of American life 100 years ago. Today, fewer and fewer see the urgency of strong consistent devotion to the house of God. The result:
Friend, we fight a real enemy with real weapons that fire real bullets that really kill, steal and destroy.
What can we do?
Gather the people. Find our weapons. Make sure they function. Sharpen the skill and tools and weapons for this fight! Fight, and then fight and then fight! We can win this war, but our weapons must be strong and sharp. We have the weapon of love, faith, worship, faith and God's word, just to name a few! Where are they sharpened? In the house of God where iron sharpens iron. Oh dear friend, we MUST be sharp and ready for the fight of faith on a daily basis. Let me encourage you, as this year of 2013 begins, take inventory of your weapons. Go to church, sharpen those skills and see the victory of the Lord.
I believe that the church is the answer for all that concerns you!
Go to worship and pray and love and believe and you will leave sharp, strong and ready to win the daily fight for life! You were created for His pleasure! Win and prove that the high life is the fight of faith! God wants you to win! Are you sharp or dull?! Sharpen your weapons and win!

Myans Missed It!
As we come to the close of December, all eyes are on December 21st and the forecast of the world's end. Well, no offense to the Myans but the bible says NO ONE knows the time or date but the Father in heaven! It is silly for people to set dates for the end of the world. I do however want to tell you that I DO know when! Are you ready?
In 1948, when Israel became a Nation again after 1900 years of separation, God started a countdown to the end. The bible says,"this generation will not pass away until the end." God's word says that when Israel becomes a Nation again, start the clock because at some time during THAT generation, all things regarding the rapture of the church, the tribulation period, the final judgment, and the Return of Christ would be fulfilled in that time! A generation could be 40 years, 60 years or maybe even 100 years. Let's take 100 as an extreme view of a generation. When Abraham and Sarah had Isaac he was 100. Let's say God used that as His extreme view of a generation. That means 2048 or before could and will be the Rapture of the church, the tribulation, the final judgment and the end of the world as we know it! It will happen as the bible says!
What should we do to prepare?
Pray!
Read Gods word and study His instructions.
Pray!
Find, serve and stay involved in a bible teaching church.
Pray!
Stash away some money and food items in case you miss the Rapture!
Pray because it will be really bad then!
Do not take the mark of the Government. The bible calls it "The Mark of the Beast!"
Pray to hold out until killed or Return of Christ!
Pray and pray now to recieve Jesus in your heart. Serve Him faithfully because this generation will not pass away! We are close and I mean really close! It could happen today! Will you be ready when the end really comes?

Pathway to Prosperity
The Nation is in trouble!
Record unemployment, record gas prices, war in the Middle East, crime, border wars, drug wars and now the war for traditional marriage and life in the womb.
A few months ago, President Obama declared war on the family and on marriage. He stated that he would support more privileges for abortion rights and same-sex marriage. As Christians, we should not support this policy.
It is the wrong path for the Nation. It is a path that is against Gods laws!
Congress may draft and pass laws but they DO NOT have the right to rewrite Gods laws. God said a Man and a WOMAN shall leave a cleave and become one flesh. Marriage is not a contract that can just be tossed aside. Marriage is a sacred institution established by God and not man.
Therefore, according to Revelation chapter 22:18-19, God said to change His laws would bring death. Please hear Gods love in that He desires marriage. He only declares that it must be between a man and a woman. Otherwise, it brings His judgment.
So, what is the pathway to prosperity?
Man can not develop absolute standards for morality. Therefore, it must be and can only be God who establishes an absolute standard for morality. The pathway to prosperity is paved with the laws of God. If we will return to Gods laws, we can prosper again as a people and as a nation.
Oh dear friend, know that God loves you! He simply requires a people who follow His laws and His ways. That is a pathway to prosperity. It has worked before and it WILL work again! The Church is STILL ALIVE!!!
Time Magazine in 1969 said,"God is Dead!" Many also want to say the church is down and out too! Well, no offense, but Time Magazine was wrong. They are still wrong!
God is still alive and I want to scream it loud that the church is still alive too! Jesus said, I will build my church... and the gates of hell would NOT stop it! Many want to declare the church is dead. Again, they are wrong! Do not give up on the church.
The Church IS the answer!
Read with caution from this point forward...
The church is the answer for our city. The church is still the answer for our families. The church is still the answer for our healing. The church is still the answer for our finances. The church is still the answer for our marriage. The church is still the answer for our children. The church is still the answer for our economy. The church is still the answer for our mind. The church is still the answer for our nation. The church is STILL the answer for the earth!!!
Do not give up on the church! God has not changed His mind and neither should you.
Why am I so certain? Each week in our church, lives are changed, people are healed, families are restored and hearts are renewed. The church is alive, the church is the answer and revival is still sure!
Read the end of Revelation and you will see a glorious, triumphant, overcoming and happy church! Our future is certain, as our past is erased and the church will not only survive and thrive, it will walk in Kingdom dominion.
Do not give up on the church! The church IS STILL the answer!!!
Stay in church, stay in prayer, stay in worship, stay in the word, keep telling the story and wait and see that the church will endure every attack of hell! Jesus said it and the earth will watch and see again that the church is the answer!!!

Finders Weepers Losers... KEEPERS!
If you find your life you lose it, if you lose your life you find it!
Man, the bible is the master of understatement! Our culture is so consumed in finding their own way in life. The bible also says that in the last days, things will be as they were in the days of Noah. Men will eat, drink and be given in marriage.
In essence, all people will think about in the last days is "eating, drinking and sex!" Man, have we arrived! Life is all about self indulgence; me, myself and me! "Let me stop talking about me. Let me hear what you think about me?" That sums up the time in which we live.
The writer of the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon (the wisest man who ever lived), said that life is meaningless.(Ecclesiastes 1:1-14) He even says it is a "chasing after the wind." He ends his dialogue with a sharp decision about the meaning of life. In Chapter 12:13-14, Solomon says, here is the meaning of life! "Fear God and Keep His commandments...for judgment is coming!
WOW! Our culture is so out of step with this discussion about the end of time or the end of the world. It is all about the moment. Make me happy NOW! I do not want to wait. My iPad, my iPhone or my internet connection is too slow. My Facebook update is "so 23 seconds ago!"
We are a culture in touch, on the move and oblivious to what is about to happen. It is all going to end and most people won't know it until it is too late. We spend our whole lives focused on self with no preparation for the next life. If we would spend equal time on future preparation, fire insurance, our ticket to ride, we could be prepared for the next life. But how?
Jesus said in Matthew 10:39 that if you find your life...you will lose it. BUT, if your lose your life....you will find it!
What does He mean? We must delay gratification for the moment for future preparations NOW so that we are ready for THEN! Jesus lived this in Luke 22:42 when he said, "Father, let this cup pass from me...but nevertheless, not my will but your will be done."
Life is meaningless Solomon says...apart from God. But, here is the meaning of life...Fear God AND keep His commandments. Lose your life and find it and see if it is worth the journey.
I have been on this roller coaster for 31 years now and man, is it worth it! I have more fun and I laugh more in life than anyone I know. Why? I have lost my life and gained the true meaning! It is really not a mystery but requires a great cost...everything! Lose to win? It's your invitation. Want to jump on the train? God is asking for you...to lose!

It Is FINISHED!
There is more you need to know!
As we approach the passion week for Christians all over the world, I have a new insight in the last words of Jesus on the cross. Oh dear friend, we can go to the tomb of Mohammad and he is still there. We can go to the tomb of Buddah and he is still there. However, we can go to the tomb of Jesus and He is not there!
This is the defining difference between Christianity and every other religion in the world. Jesus came establish His Kingdom in us. That is why there is so much more to the words,"It is finished."
When Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished," He not only bought salvation and paid the penalty for sin. When Jesus uttered those wonderful words, He was going all the way back to the garden to finish something for us as Christ followers. "It is finished" also means that what the law, the prophets, the Old Testament sacrificial system, the angels, Moses, Aaron or Melchizedek could not do, Jesus has now done.
Gods first plan for man was dominion in the earth over "every living thing." Man fell and what no other could do, Jesus did with His death when he said, "It Is FINISHED!"
Jesus faced every sin common to man and was without sin. Therefore friend, no matter what you or I face, Jesus has already faced it and conquered it! Therefore if we are in Jesus, we too can face any thing in life and, through Jesus, we too can conquer and have dominion over every living thing!
Dear friend, Easter is more than bunnies. It Is FINISHED for you and me! We can rule over every temptation and win in life! The winning believer and the winning church is what He bought and who He is returning for to gather with Him forever!
Start winning right now! It is finished and you can win through Jesus!
Happy resurrection! It is FINISHED!!! I hope to hear from you!
